Walnut Creek Public Use Area
Located just 2.5 miles northeast of Crete, Walnut Creek Lake offers a variety of outdoor activities and is a favorite fishing spot for many southeast Nebraskans. Shoreline structures and jetties at Walnut provide easy access to the water for anglers fishing from the shore, and those looking to access the water by boat will enjoy the concrete boat ramp and dock along the east shore. The recreation area also features over 64 acres of land area, offering a full array of outdoor adventures, and the shelter serves as an excellent place to hold a picnic!
